- Built Before 1985: Extremely high probability (virtually all fibro sheeting, eaves, and vinyl tiles contain asbestos).
- Built Between 1985 and 1990: High probability (asbestos was being phased out but remaining stockpiles were widely used).
- Built Between 1990 and 31 December 2003: Low to moderate probability (certain specialized friction materials, gaskets, and bituminous products still contained chrysotile).
- Built After 31 December 2003: Zero legal probability (total national ban on the manufacture, import, and installation of asbestos took effect 31 Dec 2003).
